The world of mini red dot sights is continually growing, and it’s not slowing down. Mini red dot sights are so flippin’ versatile. The Holosun 507C is a mini red dot sight that packs three different reticle options. These three reticles include a simple red dot, a 32 MOA circle, and a 32 MOA circle and dot. The bigger 32 MOA reticles are quicker to acquire and well suited on shotguns and handguns. THose bigger reticles are also more comfortable for people with astigmatism to use.
The optic uses a side-loading battery that doesn’t require you to remove the optic to swap the battery. It’s quick and straightforward and much easier to use than most other optics. The 507C also features a solar panel in case the battery dies, and you’re in a pinch.
The controls are a massive + and - buttons that are easy to access and easy to control. This allows you to make quick adjustments to the brightness level should you need to.

I keep my 507C mounted on the Benelli M4 because the 32 MOA circle is perfect for shotguns. Not only is it quick and highly visible, but the circle reticle is handy when it comes to buckshot. I patterned my buckshot inside that circle, and I know with my barrel and my specific load that the entire eight pellet buckshot load will pattern inside that circle at 15 yards and closer.
The 507C is capable of incredible brightness, and even in the brightest environments, it’s easy to see. The lens is clear and easy to see through, and the design allows for comfortable two-eye open shooting. The controls are so extensive that if you need to change brightness on the fly, you can with ease.
Every reticle is crisp and clear, and cycling through the different reticles is very simple. The different reticles make it easy to use for close-range shooting and moderate range shooting. The 507C makes quick engagements and target focused shooting possible. Not only will it get you faster on target, but it makes transitioning between targets quicker and engaging at various ranges faster.
