STORE POLICIES

• PURCHASING FIREARMS ONLINE

  It is illegal to ship firearms to anyone not holding an active Federal Firearms License (FFL). For that reason, firearms purchased online may be picked up at our store or shipped to an FFL (gun store) near you. We may contact and verify the FFL you select during checkout before we ship your firearm(s). The buyer is encouraged to contact the receiving FFL licensee before purchase.

• Be sure you check your local and state laws for any purchase restrictions or requirements.

  Firearm Restrictions by State:

  California	Handguns must be on the CA Roster of Approved Firearms.  Semi-automatic Center Fire rifles must be CA compliant.  No Assault Weapons.
  Connecticut	No Semi-Auto Rifles.
  Maryland	Firearms sales only to Class 01 FFL Dealers.  Varying restrictions on Assault Weapons.
  Massachusetts	No handguns. Varying restrictions on Assault Weapons.
  New Jersey	Firearm sales only to Class 01 FFL Dealer.  Varying restrictions on Assault Weapons.
  New York	No Assault Weapons.  No handguns in New York City.
  Washington	Varying restrictions on Semi-automatic Center Fire Rifles.
  Washington DC	No Firearms.

• RETURNS

  If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us within 15 business days of purchase. 

  If you receive a defective item, please contact us via email at info@norcalgunvault.com  with details of the product and the defect. Further instructions will be provided if item is to be returned and/or exchanged.

  Upon receipt of the returned product, we will fully examine it and notify you via e-mail, within a reasonable period of time, whether you are entitled to a refund or a replacement as a result of the defect. If you are entitled to a replacement or refund, we will replace the product or refund the purchase price, using the original method of payment.

  If the item has been received in our store or if a firearm is shipped to an FFL and you cancel your order. we will charge a 10% restock fee for regular stocked items and 35% for custom items, plus return shipping, if applicable..

  Refunds do not include any shipping and handling charges shown on the packaging slip or invoice. Shipping charges for all returns must be prepaid and insured by you. You are responsible for any loss or damage to hardware during shipment. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Any amounts refunded will not include the cost of shipping.

  Sales on the following items are final:

  1. Special orders.
  2. Products sold "as is" or "used" or that have been installed or used after receipt.
  3. Illumination devices, electronic sights and optics.

• USED FIREARMS

  Used firearms may not be returned. All sales are final. Description and photos (if available) are provided by the seller.

• GENERAL FIREARM SALES

  All firearms, magazines, receivers and restricted law enforcement items are sold and shipped in accordance with all existing federal, state and local laws and regulations. Many of the firearms, magazines and parts for sale on this website may be restricted or prohibited in your area. Please check your local and state regulations before ordering.

  All new firearms are shipped in the original manufacturer's box, with magazine(s), accessories and applicable warranty. Firearms requiring warranty work must be returned to the factory within 1 year of purchase for repair. Accessories and special order items not normally sold by our store will not be covered under warranty even if these products are part of an integrated firearms package, unless we have guaranteed the entire package in writing. Please contact the original manufacturer for warranty information on all accessories and special order items.

• SECURE TRANSMISSION

  All information collected during the checkout process is transmitted via industry standard Transport Layer Security (TLS). A Transport Layer Security (TLS) Certificate (or SSL Certificate) creates an encrypted connection between a Web site and a visitor's Web browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the Web site and the browser remains private and secure.

• ORDER FULFILLMENT

  All orders are shipped promptly from a distributor warehouse or in-store inventory within 3 - 10 business days using UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Tracking numbers are available for items shipped via UPS and FedEx.

• ONLINE PRICE & DESCRIPTION ERRORS

  Online inventory changes every day. Occasionally an item may appear on the site by mistake or the item's description may contain a typographical error. We do not guarantee that titles, descriptions, pictures or prices on our site are error-free. We reserve the right to refuse any order including but not limited to orders for items with errors in the description or price. In the event that we cancel an order we will refund the money.

• AMMUNITION PURCHASES

  You must be 18 or older to purchase rifle or shotgun ammunition and 21 or older to purchase handgun ammunition. All ammunition will be shipped ground with adult signature required. Always make sure to use the correct ammunition for your specific firearms. Check your local laws for any other regulations.

• Firearm Restrictions by State:

  Connecticut	We must have a copy of your AEC or Pistol Permit and State ID
  Chicago, IL	No ammo without FFL.
  Cook County, IL	No Ammo without FFL.
  Massachusetts	No Ammo without FFL.

  Washington DC	No Ammo without FFL.

• APPLICABLE LAW

  By visiting www.norcalgunvault.com, you agree that the laws of the state of California, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, will govern these Conditions of Use and any dispute of any sort that might arise between you and Nor Cal Gun Vault.

• FIREARMS MAY NOT BE CALIFORNIA COMPLIANT

  It is the responsibility of the purchaser to know that a firearm is legal for purchase in California before completing the checkout process. There will be a 10% fee for any off roster or non-CA compliant firearm purchased that must be cancelled. For a list of every handgun legally available in California, please see here.

• FFL TRANSFERS

• Nor Cal Gun Vault does accept FFL transfers from other FFL's.  Our fee is $100 per serialized firearm or lower (subject to change without notice).  Nor Cal Vault has direct relationships with several manufacturers and access to many remote warehouses.  Customers are advised to check with us first to save the fee.  FFL's requiring our information can email ffl@ncgv.com to request it.  Nor Cal Gun Vault does not share our FFL with individual customers. FFL's requiring extra steps to send the firearm (special email formats, no CA Authorization Letter, nor contact information) might cause the buyer to incur additional fees charged at the time of DROS.  

• CHANGES IN POLICY

  Nor Cal Gun Vault reserves the right to modify, alter, delete and update these policies at any time we see fit. Such alterations do not nullify our rights if infringements or breaches occurred under a previous version of these conditions.
